ABOUT
HEIDI
Heidi has been training and competing at the FEI levels of dressage for over 30 years. She began riding at age 6 at Lowell Boomer's Great Plains Equestrian Center in Nebraska, and participated in Pony Club for many years.
Heidi has competed throughout the United States, growing up in the Midwest, spending time in California training with Olympian Jan Ebeling, and most recently on the Florida circuit in Wellington. She has trained with Lars Petersen, Scott Hassler, Hokan Thorn, Jesper Baek and Shannon Dueck, and ridden in clinics with top dressage trainers including Hubertus Schmidt, Rudolph Zeilinger, Conrad Schumacher, Kathy Connelly, Betsy Steiner, Robert Dover, Lisa Wilcox, Neil Ishoy, Volker Brommann and Lilo Fore.
Over the years, Heidi has earned her USDF Gold Medal, Silver Medal with Distinction, Bronze Medal with Distinction and Silver Freestyle Bar. She has competed in 350+ classes in USDF-recognized shows on 20 different horses, including 150+ classes at the FEI levels on 6 different horses (several she trained herself up the levels) and multiple CDIs on 4 different horses. She has won numerous USDF Regional Championships at Fourth Level and above, as well as top ten finishes at the USDF National Finals.
In 2007-2008, Heidi had success in the FEI ring with two horses, the Danish mare, Mon Cheri, and the Zweibrucker stallion, Le Mode. Heidi and Cheri had 3 Top Ten finishes in High Performance classes in Florida, aiming for the Pan Am Games Selection Trials. The following year, Heidi and Cheri moved up to Grand Prix and Heidi quickly earned her USDF Gold Medal.
Heidi had a successful Advanced Young Rider career, qualifying for the North American Young Riders Championships five times on three different horses. She finished in the top 12 twice and was a member of the bronze medal team in 1996. Heidi was the Young Rider Reserve Champion at the 1997 USET Festival of Champions in Gladstone, NJ, and also won the YR Team Test at the 1997 CDI-Raleigh. During this time, Heidi was also selected to ride in the Advanced Young Rider Clinics with Conrad Schumacher.
After Young Riders, Heidi's focus turned to training young horses, including the Oldenburg mare, Donna Karan. Heidi and Donna placed seventh in the 2002 US Young Horse Central Selection Trials for the World Breeding Championships and ranked 8th in the 2003 USDF Year-End Awards for FEI Six-Year-Olds. Also in 2003, Heidi was selected to be a demo rider for the USDF Adult Clinic Series with Walter Zettl.
Heidi began training Le Mode for Solomon Farm in 2006. In 2008, Heidi and Le Mode made their FEI debut at Dressage at Equestrian Estates in Florida and finished the year as RPSI Prix St. Georges Champions. Heidi and Le Mode were reunited in 2015 and have been back in the show ring, winning the 2017 Region 3 Fourth Level Freestyle Championship, finishing 10th in the 2017 US Dressage Finals at Fourth Level Freestyle, and earning year-end USDF All-Breeds Awards for RPSI, including 2016 Intermediare I Open Champion and 2015 Prix St George Open Champion. In 2017, Le Mode made his CDI debut at the Gold Coast Opener in Wellington, finishing third in the I-1 CDI-Am class and fourth in the PSG CDI-Am class. A month later, Heidi and Le Mode competed in the Global Dressage Festival 7 CDI and came in second in the I-1 Freestyle CDI-AM class.
Heidi attended multiple Young Dressage Horse Trainers Symposium led by US Young Horse Coach, Scott Hassler, and in 2010 was also selected to ride in the USEF Young Horse Training Sessions with Scott, with her 5-year-old Rheinlander mare, Celeste.
In addition to riding, Heidi is currently a Delivery Manager for Streamline CPQ, a software consulting firm specializing in Oracle implementations. She continues to pursue her dressage career, training year-round in the Orlando, FL area, and competing her German Riding Pony stallion, SF Spirit. She is available for lessons, training and day clinics, and can travel to your barn. She also offers weekend clinics throughout the US and coaching at regional and national competitions.

Over the past decade, Heidi has trained numerous horses to FEI and her students have successfully competed through Intermediare I, earning USDF medals and winning regional and national awards. In addition, she has taught many riders from other disciplines, including eventing, hunter/jumper and western.
